This is pretty unique in the used car business but something that ultimately our competition will copy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This program originated when we learned that a customer of I-35 AutoMall drove her Chrysler 300 for nearly 33,000 miles without ever having the oil changed in her car. We discovered this when the customer brought the car in for service, complaining that it wasn’t running very well. Go figure.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The four included oil changes were added to the Heartland Service Plan to give us four opportunities to check our customers’ cars for them and help prevent future problems.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Regular maintenance is part of owning a car and keeping it in safe, reliable condition. When you buy a vehicle from Integrity Auto Finance it has undergone a comprehensive 132 point check by an Integrity Auto Service technician. If they discover something that needs to be fixed they either get it fixed or we send the car back to auction as unfit for our customers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We believe that our vehicles are reconditioned to a standard much, much higher than our competition. When it is hot outside, and especially when vehicles are stuck in traffic and not moving through the air very fast, the anti-freeze or coolant will start to boil and escape through an overflow drain system. Then when the engine has cooled down the vehicle coolant level may be too low. Sometimes people will add just water instead of a proper mix of anti-freeze and water, with the result that the anti-freeze is diluted and not effective at low temperatures.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Another example is tire pressure. Almost all of the cars, trucks and SUVs offered for sale by Integrity Auto Finance have new tires. So you are starting out in good shape. But changes in temperature and daily use can lead to tires losing air pressure to the point where the pressure is too low and the tire will handle and wear poorly. This can be dangerous and it can lead to premature tire wear. Not good. So when you bring your vehicle in for an oil change our technicians will check your tires and make sure they are properly inflated.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At Integrity Auto Finance we want to help you keep your car in great running condition. This means that:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. The Heartland Service Plan has been submitted to the Oklahoma Insurance Department for review and has been officially approved for sale in the state of Oklahoma.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Dealers Finance Co., which owns and sells the Heartland Service Plan, is officially licensed by the Oklahoma Insurance Department to sell service warranties.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. Dealers Finance Co. pays the State of Oklahoma a fee for every contract sold. This is required by law. To date Dealers Finance Co. has paid the State of Oklahoma thousands of dollars in fees.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. Dealers Finance Co. has funded a $50,000.00 Treasury Bond investment that is available to the Oklahoma Insurance Department. This is required by state law and provides financial security for customers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5. Dealers Finance Co. maintains a special purpose bank account with cash on deposit equal to 25% of any unearned premiums. This is required by state law and serves to provide financial security for customers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Some dealers try to avoid the State’s licensing requirements by claiming that their service plan is a “free” warranty, even though they may have other paperwork disclaiming a warranty. We think this is wrong.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We think other dealers do this to avoid having to submit their plan to the Oklahoma Insurance Department for approval prior to sale. It may be more work and trouble than they want to go through.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We think the # 1 reason other dealers don’t sell licensed plans is to avoid having to pay fees and maintain security accounts to provide financial security for customers who get a service or warranty plan from them. It is another way they cut corners and try to save a buck even though it is wrong.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It isn’t “free” if you have to pay a deductible. It also isn’t “free” if the cost of the warranty is included in the selling price of the vehicle. We think it is a cheap trick to fool customers and cheat the State of Oklahoma.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you bought a car from someone else and you have a “free” service plan or warranty but they tell you that you have to pay a deductible, we suggest you contact the Oklahoma Insurance Department to complain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You may discover that the dealer you bought from is violating the Oklahoma Service Warranty Insurance Act and needs to be investigated.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The main telephone number for the Oklahoma Insurance Department is 405-521-2828 and toll-free at 800-522-0071. Is this a trick to get you to come in to the dealership and then they tell you that the car you want needs a down payment or a bigger down payment? If you do buy a car with little or no money down is that a good deal for you?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We can’t address the “bait and switch” question – you will have to check on that one yourself. But we won’t be surprised if you discover that only a few of the dealer’s cars and trucks qualify for no down payment or a low down payment.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Is a low down payment is a good deal?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The cost of your pre-owned car, truck or SUV will depend on how much you finance and for how long. If you put little or no money down, either your payments will have to be higher or you will have to pay longer or both.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If the payments are higher, it could make them harder for you to make and increase your risk that you get behind and maybe lose the car. That isn’t a good deal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you pay longer it will cost you more money in interest, raising your total cost. Not a good deal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At Integrity Auto Finance we are interested in you as a customer and the potential to sell you more cars and sell cars to people you want to refer to us. With that view, we will work with you to get you the combination of down payment and payment amount that works best for you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Things to think about:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. The more money you are able to put down to start with the less you will have to pay in interest over time. Dealers who promote or require little or no money down are actually setting you up to pay a lot more in interest. You think you are paying less because you don’t pay much down to start with but in reality you are setting yourself up to have to pay more due to interest.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. The more you can afford to pay each payment period the quicker you can pay off the car loan and the less it will cost you over time. At Integrity Auto Finance we try to structure your car loan to be both affordable and enable you to pay it off sooner rather than later. The quicker the car is paid the less you have to pay in interest and the less your total cost.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At Integrity Auto Finance we are flexible to structure a car loan that works for you. It is on the north (westbound) side of I-240 just before you get to Western. You can exit at either Walker or Western and enter from the I-240 service road. Consumers are conditioned to not believe what used car lots say on TV. So we decided to do the most outrageous thing we could think of, and to do it again and again. What is that?
